The Tractor football team of Iran will face Al-Shamal Qatar today at 19:30 local time at Sultan Qaboos Stadium in Muscat. This match is part of the second week of the Asian Elite League football competition and is an opportunity for Tractor to secure its first Asian victory of the season.
Tractor's Situation and Travel Challenges
Tractor lost its first match against Shabab Al-Ahli of the UAE with a score of one to zero and is now trying to improve its position in the standings by compensating for that result. However, there are many challenges ahead for this team. The ban on hosting matches in Iran and the difficulties of international travel have forced Tractor to hold its home game in Oman. This not only distances the team from its passionate fans but also has a significant impact on the players' preparation and recovery plans.

Al-Shamal, a Tough Opponent with Asian Experience
On the other side, Al-Shamal Qatar is experiencing its first presence at the highest level of Asian club competitions and drew one to one in its first match against Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia. This team has shown that it is prepared to compete with experienced and star-studded teams in Asia. While Al-Shamal faced a heavy defeat of four to zero against Al-Duhail in its domestic league, stars like Baghdad Bounedjah, Abdulkarim Hassan, and Riyad Mahrez in this team's lineup indicate the serious determination of this club to shine in Asia.
Javad Nekounam, the head coach of Tractor, will not have Mehdi Torabi available due to injury and Alireza Beiranvand due to suspension in this match. He is likely to send his team onto the field in a 3-3-4 formation. Parsa Jafari, the goalkeeper of this team, hopes to record his first clean sheet while wearing the Tractor jersey.
The defensive line of Tractor consists of Shoja Khalilzadeh and Mohammad Daneshgar, who had a poor performance in the previous match. Additionally, Odil Khamerbekov and Seyed Mehdi Hosseini will play in the midfield. Finally, the attacking triangle of the team will be completed with the presence of Masoud Zareh Kazemini, Amirhossein Hosseinzadeh, and Shahryar Moghannlou.
