The 'Motherly' plan of Tehran Municipality will soon be implemented, aiming to support families with newborns. This plan offers 4 million toman of non-cash financial assistance to mothers whose child was born this year. Lotfollah Forouzandeh, the Deputy Mayor of Tehran, stated: "This support will continue for infants up to two years old, and the assistance will be provided in non-cash form to the mothers."
Details of the Plan and How to Receive Assistance
The 'Motherly' plan includes a payment of 4 million toman in the form of a recharge card, which will be deposited into the mothers' accounts each month. This amount is designed so that mothers can spend 2.5 million toman at fruit and vegetable markets. Additionally, one million toman is allocated for health expenses at municipal clinics, and the remaining amount is designated for cultural and social activities.
Social and Economic Impacts of the Plan
The implementation of this plan could have positive effects on families, especially young mothers. Given the rising cost of living and the basic needs of infants, this financial support can help alleviate the financial burden on families. Social experts believe that such plans can strengthen family foundations and increase hope for life among youth.
Lotfollah Forouzandeh emphasized: "This plan demonstrates the municipality's commitment to supporting families and strengthening population policies. We hope this initiative can help improve families' living conditions and ultimately lead to an increase in the birth rate in Tehran."
With the launch of this plan, it is expected that young mothers will respond positively, and this initiative will be recognized as a positive step towards supporting families. Such support, alongside other social services, can lead to the creation of a safer and more supportive environment for infants and families.
