The manager of the Smart Fuel System of the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, Abbas Basafa, stated that only the first gasoline quota of 1500 tomans will be saved for three months in fuel cards. He emphasized that if the quota is not used during this period, no new savings will be deposited into the user's account from the fourth month, and the second quota, which is the 3000 toman gasoline, will not be saved at all.
Expansion of the Emergency Card Identification Scheme
Basafa also announced plans to expand the identification scheme for emergency fuel card transactions across the country. This scheme will be prioritized for implementation in other regions of the country after the coverage of Tehran is completed. The manager of the Smart Fuel System pointed out the legal necessity for implementing this scheme, adding that creating the possibility of identifying any type of refueling for vehicles and motorcycles is a legal obligation.

Previous Challenges and New Solutions
The manager of the Smart Fuel System outlined the challenges related to emergency cards and stated that previously, the share of refueling with emergency cards had reached 40 to 45 percent, which created a lack of transparency and off-network supply. Basafa emphasized that with the implementation of the new scheme, the quota for using the emergency card is linked to individuals' national IDs, allowing users to easily obtain the fuel they need at any hour of the day.
He also announced the installation and launch of new devices at 100 fuel supply stations in Tehran, which have made the authentication process and token receipt easier and faster. According to this new method, users can receive a token by entering their valid bank card and then refuel by entering the code printed on the receipt.
In conclusion, Basafa, referring to statistics from the performance of this scheme, stated that in the week following the implementation of this scheme, 845,386 token inquiries were registered in the system, resulting in 735,000 transactions leading to payment and confirmed refueling. This statistic indicates that the identification scheme for emergency cards is being implemented successfully.
