Maryam Ardabili, the women's and family advisor to the Mayor of Tehran, emphasized the importance of the neighborhood as one of the main platforms for social interactions and stressed the need for effective citizen participation in identifying and solving local issues.
Empowering Women in Neighborhoods
Ardabili stated: "Women and girls, with their social, cultural, and specialized capacities, can play a significant role in the development of neighborhoods." This event is designed to identify and empower socially active women and utilize the local capacities of each neighborhood. Ardabili continued: "The main goal of 'Reihan City' is to support grassroots initiatives and activities in the field of women and family."

Goals and Approaches of 'Reihan City'
One of the main approaches of this event is to transform creative ideas into effective and sustainable activities in neighborhoods. By guiding the ideas of activists, artists, and innovators, this event aims to address the challenges in the field of women and family, attract the participation of startups and creative groups, and develop cultural and artistic programs. Ardabili also mentioned promoting the culture of volunteering and local cooperation as another goal of this event.
The women's and family advisor to the Mayor of Tehran added: "In 'Reihan City', we strive to identify and validate active local groups, creating the conditions for forming empathetic and cooperative groups so that grassroots activities, relying on the internal capacities of the neighborhood, can have greater sustainability and impact."
Call for New Ideas
Ardabili discussed the themes of the call for this event, stating that interested individuals can submit their ideas and projects in the fields of social, cultural, artistic, innovation, and leisure. Topics such as family health, resilience in crises, the environment, identity and cultural activities, urban and interactive arts, small home-based and family businesses, group games and recreational activities, and special programs for mothers and children are among the anticipated themes in this call.
Ardabili invited social activists, cultural and artistic activists, artists, and creative centers to participate in this event, noting that this call also invites game developers, artistic and recreational groups, and other grassroots organizations to participate.
Conditions and Requirements for Submitting Proposals
She stated regarding the requirements for submitting proposals: projects must be presented collectively with the participation of at least three people and must provide the possibility of engaging and sustaining the participation of at least 30 people from the target group. Additionally, having specific goals, observable outcomes, and a detailed execution plan are essential requirements considered in the evaluation of proposals.
The head of the Women's and Family Center of Tehran Municipality invited interested individuals to participate in this event, stating that applicants can refer to the event brochure for more information or contact the women's and family secretariats in the 22 districts of Tehran Municipality.
