The National Weather Organization announced that today, Thursday, in some areas of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Zanjan, Gilan, Mazandaran, as well as in parts of Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Khuzestan, Fars, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Lorestan, Hamadan, Qazvin, Markazi, Qom, Isfahan, western Yazd, and southern Kerman, as well as the heights of Hormozgan, Alborz, Tehran, and Semnan provinces, rain and thunderstorms are expected, accompanied by temporary strong winds and dust in some areas.
Weather Conditions in the Coming Days
Tomorrow, Friday, rain and thunderstorms are also expected in some areas of the northwest provinces located on the southern slopes of Alborz, the Caspian Sea coast, Kerman, the north and heights of Hormozgan, and eastern Fars. Additionally, on Saturday in some areas of the Caspian Sea coastal provinces, the southern slopes and heights of Alborz, southern Kerman, and the heights of Hormozgan, on Sunday in the northwest, west, and provinces located on the southern slopes of Alborz, the Caspian Sea coast, Kerman, and northern Hormozgan, and on Tuesday in some areas of the provinces located on the southern slopes of Alborz, the Caspian Sea coast, and central and northeastern parts of the country, rain and thunderstorms and temporary strong winds will continue.

Dust Storms and Air Quality Deterioration
In the next two days, in the eastern strip of the country, relatively strong to severe winds and dust storms are expected at certain hours. Given the formation of a dust mass over Iraq, today, the transfer of dust and deterioration of air quality in some areas of the western and northwestern provinces of the country is not unlikely. These factors can have negative impacts on public health and daily activities.
From Friday afternoon until Sunday morning, the Persian Gulf will also be rough, which may affect maritime activities and sea travel. In these weather conditions, it is recommended that people exercise caution in their travels and avoid unnecessary trips.
