Rain and heavy traffic on northern routes to Tehran have become an important issue for travelers and drivers in recent days. Colonel Nasser Gholinia, head of the Traffic Information and Control Center of the Faraaja Police, reported rain in some of the routes of Gilan, Mazandaran, and Kurdistan provinces. These rains have caused traffic on the routes leading to Tehran.

Traffic Status on Key Routes

Colonel Gholinia explained the latest weather and traffic conditions on the roads, stating: On the south-to-north Karaj–Chalus route, the Siyah-Bisheh area is experiencing heavy traffic. Additionally, on the Qazvin–Karaj highway, from the Shahid Kalantari terminal to the Fardis bridge, and on the Karaj–Tehran highway, from the Fardis bridge to the Kolak bridge, heavy traffic is also observed. This situation can affect travel time and passengers' planning.

Advice to Drivers

Furthermore, Colonel Gholinia urged drivers to comply with traffic regulations and to be informed about the latest weather and traffic conditions of their route before starting their journey. This is especially important during the rainy season, as weather conditions can change suddenly and present drivers with more challenges. Urban routes are also affected by the rains, and traffic in these areas may increase as well.

Colonel Gholinia also advised drivers to avoid unnecessary trips and, if travel is necessary, to proceed with greater caution. This caution includes maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles and reducing speed in rainy conditions. Rain can reduce visibility and make roads slippery, so drivers need to be more vigilant.

Finally, considering the weather forecasts, it is expected that rain will continue in the coming days. Therefore, travelers and drivers should be adequately prepared to face weather and traffic conditions.
