Pouya Asami, the 17-year-old defender of Persepolis, took the field in the final seconds of his team's match against Naft Abadan, becoming the youngest player in the history of the club in the Premier League. At 17 years, 1 month, and 16 days, he broke the previous record held by Ehsan Khorsandi, who was 17 years, 1 month, and 25 days old, and became a new star in the sky of Iranian football.
Rapid and Impressive Successes
This young defender played just 24 hours after his Premier League match in the youth derby against Esteghlal, where he drew attention with his performance. Ehsan Khorsandi, the head coach of Persepolis' youth team, said about this player: "I am very happy that Pouya Asami played his first match in the Persepolis lineup. I have been watching this player closely in recent years and have worked hard to help him reach this level."
Pouya's Effort and Diligence
Ehsan Khorsandi also pointed to the role of the club's management in the development of young players, stating: "The club has really cooperated, and I must thank the club management and Mr. Hadadi. In the past year, contracts for players in the youth and hope categories have become professional, which has been a very positive step."
He added: "We work intensively on technical issues with the players and strive to identify their weaknesses. Not only Pouya, but several other quality players are also present in the youth team and will soon join the main team."
This coach also appreciated the courage of Mehdi Tartar, the head coach of Persepolis, saying: "The fact that he has given a chance to a 17-year-old player shows his bravery. This has become a huge motivation for young players."
Pouya Asami, with his talent and diligence, has quickly become one of the notable players. Khorsandi remarked: "I am confident that he will reach higher levels and can become a great defender."
Finally, Ehsan Khorsandi expressed his happiness that his record was broken by a player he has worked to develop, indicating the successes of the Persepolis academy.
