Personalization of metro ticket cards began today at ٢٦ metro stations in Tehran. With this initiative, passengers can register their ticket cards in their own names and benefit from its advantages. Hadi Zand, the director of communications and international affairs at the Tehran Metro Operating Company, provided explanations regarding this matter.

Locations Offering Personalization Services

According to Hadi Zand, in-person personalization services for ticket cards are available at various stations including Sadeghiyeh, Theater City, Azadi Square, Imam Khomeini (RA), Islamic Revolution Square, Azadegan, Shahr-e Rey, Mohammadieh Square, ١٥ Khordad, Darvaze Dowlat, Martyr Haqqani, Tajrish, Shadman, University of Science and Technology, Cultural Center, Nematabad, Vali Asr Square (AJ), Jihad Square, Qaem, Bimeh, Eram Sabz, Karaj, Golshahr, Shohadai Dowlatabad, Tarbiat Modares University, and Ketab Square.

Process of Personalizing Ticket Cards

Zand further explained that in the new process, after registering the passenger's national ID code in the sales system, a confirmation code is sent to their mobile number. After entering the code and final confirmation, the card will be issued and personalized in their name. This process is designed so that from the time of purchase, new ticket cards are linked to the owner's information, and it will not be possible to buy a card without registering the owner's information.

The advantage of this personalization is that in case of loss or damage to the card, passengers can retain their credit and carry out the necessary follow-up. Zand added: "By registering the owner's information, in case of problems, it will be possible to maintain credit and follow up for the passenger."

Benefits of Personalization for Passengers

The director of communications and international affairs at the Tehran Metro Operating Company referred to the connection of this initiative with the smart ticketing of urban transportation and said: "Linking the ticket card to the owner's information is done within the framework of integrating and smartening urban transportation tickets and can help complete the electronic travel file, utilize insurance capacities, and also pave the way for applying supportive and targeted discounts in urban management."

Passengers who already have a ticket card do not need to purchase a new card and can connect and personalize their existing card for free through the "Shahrzad" application or selected kiosks using their national ID and mobile number. With this initiative, urban management aims to enhance the quality of services and the safety of passengers.
