Masib Jafari, the ticket revenue manager of Tehran Metro, announced the start of a new process for personalizing metro tickets. With this action, passengers can register their national ID in the sales system to issue the ticket in their name.
Advantages of Ticket Personalization
Jafari explained that after registering the national ID, a confirmation code will be sent to the passenger's mobile number. After entering this code and final confirmation, the card will be issued and personalized in the individual's name. This action not only increases the security of passengers but also allows for the preservation of credit and tracking in case of loss or damage to the card.

Integration and Smart Ticketing
The ticket revenue manager of Tehran Metro added that connecting the ticket to the owner's information is part of the integration and smart ticketing of urban transportation. This process can help complete the electronic travel file, utilize insurance capacities, and also pave the way for implementing supportive and targeted discounts by urban management.
Locations for Personalization Services
Jafari also mentioned the locations providing in-person ticket personalization services, stating that currently, these services are available at the stations of Sadeghiyeh, City Theater, Azadi Square, Imam Khomeini (RA), Enghelab Islamic Square, and Azadegan. Gradually, and if equipment is secured, other stations will also be equipped with these services.
Process for Holders of Previous Cards
He clarified that passengers who already have a ticket do not need to purchase a new card. These individuals can connect and personalize their existing card to their national ID and mobile number for free through the “Shahrzad” application or selected booths. This action is aimed at improving services and increasing passenger satisfaction.
