Hamidreza Halali, a veteran of the Persepolis team, highlighted the significance of today's sensitive match against Foolad Khuzestan in the Premier League, stating: "Every game we play is like a final for us. We must not lose points against Foolad to remain among the contenders."
The Necessity of High Pressure on the Opponent's Goal
Halali pointed out the need for high pressure on the opponent's goal and expressed hope that the team could easily overcome Foolad with player coordination. He also acknowledged the overall performance of Persepolis over the past nine weeks of the Premier League, saying: "The team's overall performance exceeded my expectations. Given the many changes we made among the players, I thought it would take longer to reach a good and ideal condition."

The Need for a Playmaker
In response to the question of whether Persepolis needs to acquire a new player for the second half of the season, this veteran said: "Mr. Tartaar, as the head coach, lives with the team and knows better than anyone where the problems are to recruit players. However, in my opinion, we do not have any specific shortages right now. Unless we encounter problems later, such as an injury to a player, but for now, our team is complete. Of course, we want a playmaker in the midfield to organize our team play."
According to Halali, a player like Ahmad Noorollahi can help the team, and his presence could strengthen the midfield in the current situation. This veteran also pointed out an interesting fact that Persepolis's absence from Asian competitions has been beneficial for the team, and this could help them perform better in the league.
League Competitions and Contenders
Halali further explained about the contenders in this season's Premier League, saying: "For now, it is not possible to speak definitively about this, but alongside Persepolis, teams like Esteghlal, Sepahan, and Tractor have performed well. These teams have had ups and downs, but they have shown themselves as contenders. Teams like Foolad have also approached the group of contenders and may be among the contenders in the future."
This veteran ultimately emphasized that we must wait and see what happens in the league matches in the coming weeks and how Persepolis can take advantage of the available opportunities.
