Morteza Fanounizadeh, a veteran of Persepolis, expressed his happiness in an interview regarding his team's victory in the eighth week of the Premier League against Naft Abadan, stating: "Fortunately, we started the game with a storm and scored the first goal in the 4th minute, which shows Persepolis's determination for the championship."

Game Analysis and Persepolis's Weaknesses

Fanounizadeh pointed out that the team had several other goal opportunities in the first half, adding: "Unfortunately, the players' unnecessary movements caused us to finish the first half with just one goal." He also expressed hope that Persepolis would finish the first half of the season at the top of the table.

He continued to express concern about the situation of Naft Abadan, saying: "This team's rights are not being respected, and I hope its managers resolve the team's problems as soon as possible so that Naft Abadan can be revived again."

Youthfulness and Its Importance in Persepolis

The veteran of Persepolis identified the only weakness of the team in this match as losing the ball at certain moments and emphasized: "I hope this problem is resolved quickly because in big games we might get hurt." He also referred to the absence of Mohammad Hossein Kanaanizadegan, saying: "His absence was very noticeable, and I hope he returns to the team's lineup soon so that the defense can continue its flawless performance."

Fanounizadeh noted: "Currently, we are in second place with one game less, which shows that the team is united and the coaching staff has worked well with the players. I have no doubt that if we make the most of this opportunity, Persepolis will become the league champion and we can play in Asia again."

Regarding youthfulness in Persepolis, he stated: "In the match against Naft Abadan, we saw that the dynamic coaching staff introduced a name to the field, and this beautiful move sent a message to other teams in the Premier League that young players should be given the opportunity to show themselves on the green rectangle. I hope all Premier League coaches learn from Mehdi Tartari and embrace youthfulness in their teams."

Fanounizadeh also spoke about Persepolis's upcoming match against Khyber in the ninth week of the Premier League, saying: "Khyber is a good team and has good players at its disposal. I have no doubt that they can make the game difficult for us, and Persepolis should not miss this opportunity and must go to the field with all its might to secure the 3 points away from home."
