Mohammad Rabiei, the former head coach of Tractor football team, went to the Enghelab Stadium in Karaj on Sunday to watch the match between Fard Alborz and Shahin Bandar-e Amiri. He took this opportunity to respond to rumors about negotiations by the Football Federation for leading Iran's U-23 team.
Apology and Clarification
Rabiei said in this regard: "I had some discussions, and I thank all the friends who were kind to me. Mr. Alavi (spokesman and head of the Football Federation's public relations) spoke with me, and at that time, I apologized to them." He emphasized that there are currently individuals who are better suited to lead the U-23 team, and he prefers to continue coaching at the club level at this time.

Justifying Failures
The former Tractor coach added: "The failures of the U-23 team can have various reasons. Most of the time, you do not have players available, or during FIFA dates, the players are with the national team." This point indicates that the challenges go beyond the individual performance of the coach and depend on the overall structure of the team and the conditions of the players.
Rabiei, referring to the importance of infrastructure in the success of the U-23 team, said: "For the success of the U-23 team, we should not focus on the individual and should look at the infrastructure. This is a very important issue and needs special attention." He mentioned the numerous different coaches who have been the head coach of the U-23 team in recent years and said: "The causes of failures should be examined elsewhere."
Rabiei's statements reflect his concern about the status of the national U-23 team and also emphasize the importance of behind-the-scenes structures. As an experienced coach, he knows well that the success of a team does not solely depend on the coach's performance and requires synergy among all team components.
Rabiei also mentioned his desire to continue coaching in clubs and added: "I would like to continue coaching in club conditions and be involved in it at the moment." These statements indicate that he is looking for new challenges in the coaching field and wants to continue to make an impact in the world of football.
