Mohammad Jamalu, head of the National Organization for Civil Registration, recently provided explanations about the status of national ID cards in the country. According to him, despite the expiration of over 40 million national ID cards, these cards remain valid and there is no need to replace them. This news can bring peace of mind to many compatriots who were concerned about the validity of their cards.
Issuance of New National ID Card
Jamalu announced that the new generation of national ID cards will be unveiled in spring 2027, stating that a new card will be issued for all 40 million compatriots whose national ID cards have expired. This decision was made to facilitate administrative processes and improve services to the public.
Features of the New National ID Card
The head of the National Organization for Civil Registration referred to some features of the new generation of cards and said: "One of the important features of these cards is the special focus on online authentication, which means the need for document copies will be eliminated. This capability can significantly speed up and simplify administrative processes."
Jamalu also announced that currently, over 1.2 million new national ID cards have been prepared. These cards will be delivered to all those who do not have a new national ID card or have requested a duplicate by the end of autumn. This reflects the efforts of the National Organization for Civil Registration to improve service quality and respond to citizens' needs.
The Importance of the National ID Card in Daily Life
The national ID card, as a comprehensive identity document, plays a very important role in the daily lives of people. From use in banking systems to providing government services, this card is recognized as the main identifier of individuals in society.
