Mohammad Ghorbani, the national team midfielder of Al Wahda in the UAE, spoke about the negotiations for his return to the Iranian Premier League. He announced that there have been offers from two clubs, Persepolis and Tractor, but Al Wahda did not agree to his departure.
Challenges of Returning to Iran
Ghorbani explained that his personal desire to return to Iran was not solely based on his interest. He has a contract with Al Wahda and plays as a regular player for the team. Any decision in this regard must be made with the club's consent. He stated: "This issue bothered me a bit, but I left everything to the club and hope it will be in my favor."

Release Fee and Future
The national team midfielder referred to the amount requested by Al Wahda for issuing his release letter and said: "The club would announce one day that they wanted one million euros, and the next day they wanted two million euros. It seems they did not have a definitive decision to sell me and mentioned a figure that would make my departure difficult."
Ghorbani further added: "The club was not interested in my departure and intends to achieve good results in the Asian competitions and league. Therefore, they prefer that I stay in the team." Regarding the possibility of returning to the Iranian league in the mid-season, he said: "One cannot speak with certainty about the future, but I will do my best for the best performance."
This Iranian international also referred to the Iranian Premier League and said: "Persepolis, Tractor, Esteghlal, Sepahan, and Foolad have a chance to win the championship. The team that can become champion is the one that wins the big matches and uses these competitions to create a gap with its rivals."
Ghorbani stated about the situation of Al Wahda in the UAE that they did not start the season well, but they have achieved good results in recent matches. He also referred to the Iranian national team's match against Russia and said: "This was a very good match, and despite being unlucky, I hope we can gradually improve our performance."
In conclusion, he spoke about Iran's prospects in the AFC Asian Cup and said: "We must take it step by step and should not think about the final and championship from the first game. We need to have good preparation to achieve the results that the people expect."
