Mohammad Barzegar regarding the condition of Persepolis in the twenty-sixth league stated: “In the first few weeks, Persepolis has had outstanding performances and all the fans are satisfied with the team's results. Fortunately, since the beginning of the league, the team has been playing tactically, and this system has allowed us to achieve the best results.”
Tactical Change with Mehdi Tartar's Arrival
Barzegar continued: “Since Mehdi Tartar came from Gol Gohar to Persepolis, he has changed his tactics, and currently, we see that the team plays offensively. However, we only have a slight problem with ball transfer, and this is our only weakness. During this break that has occurred, the coaching staff must do their utmost to solve this issue.”
Concerns about the League Break and Game Cancellation
The veteran of Persepolis noted: “This break that has occurred in the league is detrimental to Persepolis and will cause the team to distance itself from its upward trend. I hope the players will seriously follow their training so that no problems arise. I wish the match between Persepolis and Kheybar had taken place, and it is quite surprising that the game was suddenly canceled.”
Barzegar, referring to Pouria Shahabadi's brilliance in the U23 team, said: “Fortunately, in the U23 team, Pouria Shahabadi was able to shine, and I am very happy about this. I hope the players in the U23 team can also excel.” He added: “Whether some say that after this brilliance, Mehdi Tartar should give these players more opportunities depends on the head coach's opinion, and Tartar certainly sees their technical quality and knows when to use these players.”
He concluded: “100 percent, Persepolis is one of the main contenders for the championship in the league, and the fact that we have not been able to achieve results in the last two seasons has caused us to lose our position in Asia. I have no doubt that with the players we have, we will definitely be present in the next season in the elite league and can make the fans happy.”
