Statistics: Yamal vs. Mbappé
This season, Yamal and Mbappé were nearly equal in the number of matches played; Yamal played 57 matches and Mbappé played 60 matches. While Mbappé has been the top scorer in all major tournaments, it seems that team results favor Yamal. He has led his team to victory in 14 out of 18 key matches, while Mbappé has recorded only 12 wins and 5 losses.
Key Differences in Playing Style
Yamal's ability to create imbalance and his stunning dribbling skills have made him one of the best wingers in Europe. With 559 dribbles this season, he has surpassed Mbappé, who had 327 dribbles. However, his playing risks are also evident; Yamal has lost the ball 1,181 times, while Mbappé has only lost it 699 times.
Mbappé's extraordinary performance in the World Cup has given him special recognition. With 17 goals and six assists in 18 A-level matches, he was clearly one of the most influential players in this tournament; however, team results and titles won could ultimately be a decisive factor for voters.
In the end, both players have their unique merits, and choosing between them will be a difficult task. Yamal, with his championship titles and team performance, stands against Mbappé, with his stunning individual statistics, as the two main contenders for this season's Ballon d'Or. This competition is not only interesting for the players themselves but also for fans and sports journalists around the world.
