Iraq and Iran Amid Tension; Drone Launch Pads at the Border

توسط تحریریهٔ خبرگزاری ایرانیان 2 دقیقه زمان مطالعه 1

In recent days, reports have emerged about the discovery of drone launch pads near the Iran-Saudi Arabia border, raising alarm bells for the countries in the region. According to credible sources, these launch pads are designed to attack the Saudi "East-West" oil pipeline, and this issue could have more serious repercussions.

Iraq's Agreement for Joint Investigation

The office of the Prime Minister of Iraq has announced that Ali Zaydi has agreed to Iran's request for a joint investigation into these launch pads. This action reflects growing concerns about border security and military activities in the region. Following these incidents, Iraq has closed the Al-Tayeb border area and the Shalamcheh and Chazabeh crossings due to security concerns.

On the other hand, Iranian domestic media have reported hearing at least two explosions from the sea near Qeshm Island. These explosions, of which no detailed information has yet been released, could be a sign of the tense and unstable situation in this area. It seems that these developments could lead to further tensions between countries and impact the future of Iran-Saudi Arabia relations.

Given the recent developments and increased military activities at the borders of the two countries, it remains to be seen whether this joint investigation can help reduce tensions or, conversely, complicate the situation further. It appears that the Middle East continues to experience new crises that require careful attention and proper management.
