In response to recent reports about a new peace proposal from Qatar, Iran deemed this proposal unacceptable. A senior Iranian official pointed out on Wednesday that instead of presenting a new plan to end the war, Qatar has proposed ideas that are not acceptable to Iran.

Qatar's New Proposal and Iran's Response

Reports indicate that Qatari mediators presented a draft of a new agreement to end the war to Iran on Sunday. However, this Iranian official explicitly rejected the new peace proposal and emphasized that Tehran will show no flexibility on the nuclear issue. The official also noted that Iran's response to the proposed plan is expected to be announced by the end of this week.

Details of the Seven-Day Plan

According to reports, the proposal presented by Qatar includes a seven-day timeframe that addresses the concerns of Iran and the United States. This plan specifies "daily steps that each party must take for confidence-building." According to this official, several countries will act as guarantors of this agreement.

At the same time, Abbas Araghchi, Iran's foreign minister, announced the continuation of consultations regarding the seven-day plan and stated that this plan could be implemented in less than a week. It seems that this seven-day plan is the same proposals that Mr. Araghchi and the Iranian diplomatic delegation presented to the United States during their trip to New York and participation in the United Nations General Assembly at the end of September.

Overall, these developments reflect the complexities present in the nuclear negotiations and diplomatic efforts to resolve regional crises. While Qatar is positioned as a mediator, Iran continues to emphasize its positions on core issues, and it appears that the conditions for reaching a comprehensive agreement remain challenging.
