Iran has significantly established its presence in the global arms market by developing and exporting three prominent weapon platforms. These three products include Shahed 136 and Mohajer 6 drones, as well as the Safir tactical vehicle, each with its own unique features and capabilities.
Shahed 136: Loitering Munition for Saturating Defense
The Shahed 136 weapon system is designed as a loitering munition to saturate enemy air defense systems with swarm attacks. This drone, with a delta wing configuration, has remarkable stability in long-range cruise flights and provides a range of 1500 to 2500 kilometers with optimized fuel consumption. Its navigation system is based on a combination of inertial navigation and anti-jamming satellite positioning systems. Its 40 to 50-kilogram warhead makes this system a suitable option for destroying fixed infrastructures and radar bases.

Mohajer 6: Precision and Multirole Drone
Mohajer 6 is recognized as a multirole drone capable of performing ISTAR missions and air-to-ground attacks. The dual-tail design of this drone allows for the installation of a pusher engine at the rear of the fuselage and provides ample space for mounting electro-optical and laser turrets. With the ability to carry guided miniature munitions, Mohajer 6 has become one of the most popular tactical drones among the armies of developing countries. Ethiopia, Russia, Sudan, Iraq, and Venezuela are users of this Iranian drone.
Safir Jeep: Tactical Vehicle with High Mobility
The Safir tactical jeep has been developed as a platform for rapid mobility and fire support on the battlefield. With a net weight of about 1.5 tons and a modular architecture, this vehicle can traverse complex terrain and steep slopes. Its optimized engine with high torque enables quick escapes from fire zones. The strategic value of the Safir lies in its ability to rapidly accommodate various weapon systems. This military vehicle can perform different roles by installing anti-tank missile launchers or support artillery.
The commercial success of these three platforms indicates a shift in military approach; victory in modern battles is not solely dependent on advanced and expensive technologies, but a combination of efficiency, reliability, and low maintenance costs can also provide significant advantages. These products have effectively implemented this formula in the battlefield and have introduced Iran as a promising player in the global arms market.
