Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, referenced the issue of military intervention in Iran during a press conference following the R4 and R4+E3 Foreign Ministers' meeting held on Friday in Istanbul, stressing that this option is by no means an appropriate solution. In this meeting, attended by representatives from Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, as well as Italy, the UK, Germany, and France, he pointed out the necessity of diplomacy and dialogue as the only solution to the problems.

The necessity of diplomacy to end wars

Fidan stated in this meeting that none of the present countries wish for the war to escalate further, calling for an immediate end to the war and a ceasefire in the Persian Gulf and Ukraine. He added, "We have reached a consensus that dialogue and diplomacy are the most appropriate course of action, and all countries agree on this matter."

The impact of wars on the global market

The Turkish Foreign Minister also referred to instability in the Black Sea and Bab-el-Mandeb, stating that these two issues significantly affect the world's energy and food needs as well as the free trade regime. He emphasized the importance of the countries involved in the negotiations reaching an agreement and sending a unified message to the world.

Fidan also stressed that the Strait of Hormuz must be opened as soon as possible to eliminate its negative impacts on the markets. He said in this regard, "A ceasefire and peace agreement in Ukraine must be implemented quickly, and all parties at the negotiating table sincerely desire this."

In conclusion, he expressed hope that necessary actions to ensure security and freedom of navigation in the Black Sea would be taken as soon as possible, adding, "If the war does not stop, the parties must make exceptions regarding energy and grains." These statements reflect deep international concerns about the consequences of wars and conflicts on a global scale and emphasize the need for cooperation and diplomacy among countries.
