Haj Asadollah Asadollahzadeh, a veteran tower erector in the city of Golougah, has spent 47 years of his life in this dangerous and thrilling profession. As one of the elders of this industry, he teaches young people how to erect giant towers in the most challenging geographical conditions. While he proudly speaks of his achievements and those of his students, he knows well that this work is not easy and comes with many dangers.
Adventurous Stories from Tower Erectors
Haj Asadollah says about his work: "All the angle and pipe pieces have numbers and installation maps, and we assemble them in order to erect the tower." But the reality is that planting the bases of giant towers in mountainous areas and raising them into the sky brings along adventurous stories filled with challenges. He recalls that during the days of war, the men of Golougah risked their lives to keep the lights of homes and factories on, putting their lives in danger in the process.

Bitter and Sweet Experiences
Haj Asadollah says with a tone full of regret: "The travel bags of tower erectors are always ready, and they spend long months away from their families. There, after several hours of hard work at height, they neither have a comfortable place to sleep nor is their food prepared and ready." He points out the problems in this profession and states that most of the tower erectors in the country are from Golougah. According to official statistics, about 15 percent of the population of this county is engaged in tower erecting, and this statistic reflects the importance of this profession in the lives of the local people.
Haj Asadollah also mentions the lack of safety equipment for tower erectors and expresses concern that neglecting safety can lead to tragic accidents and endanger the lives of tower erectors. He says: "More than 500 tower erectors from Golougah have been killed or injured so far." This statistic highlights the serious dangers that tower erectors face and underscores the need for greater attention to safety in this profession.
