Gulf countries have seriously lined up to prevent any new US attack on Iran. This shift in position is particularly evident regarding the United Arab Emirates, which previously had harsher stances towards Iran. Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic advisor to the President of the UAE, has clearly stated that "we in the UAE do not believe that a military solution is feasible."

Concerns About the Consequences of War

These countries are currently facing many concerns. The lack of sufficient reserves in defense systems, the economic damages caused by war, and the obstacles to indirect negotiations between Tehran and Washington are all factors that have pushed them towards opposing any military conflict. The Gulf countries have concluded that war can only worsen the situation and jeopardize regional security.

Shift in Foreign Policy Approach

While some of these countries had an ambiguous stance regarding an attack on Iran in February, they are now fully united in opposing a new war. This change in approach reflects a new assessment of the security and political situation in the region. Even the United Arab Emirates, which is considered a close ally of the United States, has publicly asked the US President to refrain from any new military action.

The bitter past experiences of regional wars and their consequences have taught the Gulf countries that they must move towards diplomacy and dialogue. They know that any new war could lead to increased tensions and instability in the region.

As a result, while concerns about the unpredictable decisions of Donald Trump, the President of the United States, have increased, the Gulf countries are seeking ways to prevent war and maintain stability in the region. They hope to achieve positive outcomes through effective diplomacy and negotiations and to avoid new crises.
