Fazil Atrachali, captain of the Iranian men's kabaddi national team and flag bearer of the country at the Nagoya Asian Games, expressed happiness about the team's performance in their first group stage match against Nepal, saying: "Being a representative of the people and many world and Olympic champions was a great honor for me."
Victory in the First Match
The Iranian men's kabaddi national team started well in this competition with a victory over the Nepal team in their first match. Most of the national team players are legionnaires, and we have a higher technical level than other teams like Malaysia and Nepal." This success heralds better days for kabaddi in Iran.

Aiming for Gold Medal
Fazil Atrachali further referred to the team's chances of winning a gold medal at the Asian Games, saying: "All our training and efforts have been aimed at winning a gold medal, and I don't think anything less than that will satisfy the national team players." He also recalled the bitter experience from four years ago, stating: "In the final of the Asian Games four years ago, we lost to India by one point due to technical and refereeing issues. But this time, the national team deserves to win a gold medal, and I hope everything goes well so we can achieve the championship title."
Honor of Being a Flag Bearer
Being the flag bearer for Iran's delegation is also a significant responsibility placed on Atrachali. He noted in this regard: "This event was a big responsibility for me. Representing the people and world and Olympic champions is very gratifying and an honor for me." Atrachali hopes that this flag bearing can boost the morale of the national kabaddi team and assist in their pursuit of a gold medal. He concluded by thanking everyone who has trusted him.
