Esteghlal was at the top of the table last season in the Premier League, even though the competitions were left unfinished, and this issue has become one of the main concerns of the club. Despite the protests from other teams, the Esteghlal players believe that the championship trophy should have been awarded to them, and this matter remains on the club's agenda.
Pursuing Championship in Unstable Conditions
While the Premier League was suspended due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, Esteghlal stood at the top of the table with its good results. This position is significant for the fans and players of the team, and they do not want to easily pass over their championship from last season. Amir Mohammad Razaghi-Nia, the young midfielder of Esteghlal, expressed on a television program that the players are still dissatisfied with the lack of trophy award and do not consider this matter to be concluded.

Players' Voices in Search of Justice
Razaghi-Nia emphasized that Esteghlal was at the top of the league, saying: "We were at the top of the table last year, and suddenly the league ended. We are still at the top of the table from last season! But we were not awarded a trophy. When the league was frozen and we were at the top of the table, in any part of the world, if the league is frozen, the trophy goes to the team at the top of the table." These statements reflect the players' feelings about injustice and the disregard for their efforts.
The Esteghlal club is also pursuing this matter at higher levels of the football federation to clarify its championship status. The members of the board of directors and the technical staff of Esteghlal believe that the rights of this team as the champion of last season should be recognized. These pursuits could have significant implications for the future of Iranian football and prevent new disputes from arising.
Challenges Ahead for Esteghlal and the Future of the Premier League
While Esteghlal is seeking to assert its rights for last season's championship, there are other issues in Iranian football that need attention and resolution. With the new season starting, teams must think about satisfying their fans and improving their performance. Esteghlal, as one of the main rivals in the Premier League, must enter the field with motivation and strength and stay away from distractions.
Ultimately, the issue of Esteghlal's championship from last season will not only impact the fate of this team but also the entire Premier League. The fans and players of this team hope that the fate of their championship will be determined soon and that this matter will serve as a lesson for the future of Iranian football.
