According to informed sources, this meeting will provide an opportunity to present U.S. proposals regarding the governance of affairs after the end of the war. The Trump administration is preparing a plan for the post-war period, which is likely to be finalized after the U.S. midterm elections in November. In his recent statements, Trump has expressed hope that the war with the Islamic Republic will soon come to an end and that the Islamic Republic is seeking an agreement with Washington.

Impact of Middle Eastern Developments on Energy Prices
Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, has also emphasized the need to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, stating that developments in the Middle East have a direct impact on oil prices and fuel costs for French citizens. He is working to reduce dependence on energy transportation through the Strait of Hormuz and has consulted with leaders of the region in this regard.
Reports indicate that the U.S. House of Representatives has also recently passed a resolution calling for the withdrawal of U.S. military forces from combat operations against Iran. This resolution was approved with the support of 220 representatives from both parties against 204 votes in opposition, aiming to increase political pressure on Trump ahead of the midterm elections.
Decrease in Vessel Traffic in the Strait of Hormuz
Meanwhile, the traffic of cargo vessels in the Strait of Hormuz has significantly decreased. According to reports, only 3 vessels were active in this waterway on Wednesday, which is much lower than the daily average of about 17 vessels over the past 10 days. Shipping restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz continue, impacting energy security in the region.
This meeting comes at a time when Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, is also seeking to meet with Trump in New York, but no plans have yet been made for this meeting.
