Donald Trump, the former President of the United States, is witnessing the deployment of two 'Avenger' air defense missile systems around his residence, Mar-a-Lago located in Palm Beach, Florida, due to increased security threats. This action comes as political violence in the United States has significantly escalated, and threats against Trump and his family have become more pronounced than ever.

Details of the Missile System Deployment

These air defense systems are designed to be mobile and are positioned on a floating platform in the Lake Worth Lagoon near Mar-a-Lago. This coastal property, covering approximately 69,000 square meters, is currently under stringent security measures. Additionally, plans are being considered to impose permanent flight restrictions over the airspace of Mar-a-Lago.

Functionality of the 'Avenger' System

The 'Avenger' system, produced by Boeing, is built on a modified military Humvee and is equipped with a rotating turret that houses two missile launchers. This system can fire Stinger missiles with infrared guidance and short-range capabilities. Since potential targets for this system include cruise missiles, drones, and helicopters, its deployment alongside Trump's residence is considered a preventive security measure.

In the released images, military personnel are seen next to one of these systems. This deployment appears necessary in light of recent security incidents and the increasing threats against Trump. The U.S. Secret Service has heightened security measures around Mar-a-Lago since 2016, following Trump's election as President.

Increase in Political Violence and Assassination Attempts

Trump himself was targeted in two assassination attempts in 2024. The first incident occurred on July 13, 2024, where Trump was injured in the ear and one attendee at the rally was killed. The second incident took place on September 15, 2024, near Trump's golf course in West Palm Beach. In this incident, a man named Ryan Roth was arrested for attempting to assassinate Trump. These events paint a clear picture of the rising threats against Trump and the need for increased security measures.

Analysts believe that Trump himself has been one of the reasons for the increase in political violence in the United States. Additionally, the murder of Charlie Kirk, a conservative political activist and Trump supporter, in September 2025 has fueled these concerns. In this context, the Secret Service has made requests to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to impose flight restrictions around Mar-a-Lago.

As a result, the deployment of these air defense systems around Trump's residence is not only a security measure but also a reflection of the critical security situation in the United States and the need to protect political figures from serious threats.
