October 5: King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport and Najran International Airport in Saudi Arabia were attacked by the Houthis from Yemen. The Saudi Arabian Civil Aviation Authority announced that no one was killed in these attacks, but three people were injured. These attacks are part of a series of consecutive assaults on Saudi Arabia's critical infrastructure, severely disrupting the security and tranquility of the country.

Repeated Attacks on Saudi Airports

On the evening of the same day, the Houthis announced in a statement that they had targeted several sites including King Khalid Airport in Riyadh, Aramco facilities in Rabigh, and Abha Airport. This statement clearly indicates the group's serious determination to expand the scope of their attacks on Saudi Arabia.

On October 6 and 7, two separate attacks occurred on the country's airports, resulting in one death and eight injuries. Additionally, the attack on Abha Airport resulted in two deaths and 28 injuries. This has created a concerning situation for the security of air travel in the region.

Heavy Casualties in Recent Attacks

On October 8, King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was targeted again, resulting in the deaths of three Saudi citizens. The Houthis claimed to have targeted this airport with ballistic missiles. However, according to the Saudi Arabian Civil Aviation Authority, this airport remains at risk of further attacks.

October 10 witnessed one of the deadliest attacks, in which 12 people were killed and over 300 were injured. These attacks clearly demonstrate the insecurity at Saudi airports and the inability to prevent external threats. A spokesperson for the Houthis also warned once again about the use of Saudi Arabia's airports and airspace.

Escalation of Actions and Response from the Saudi Coalition

On October 11, the Saudi-led coalition announced that further attacks had been carried out against King Khalid Airport, and an "unknown projectile" struck one of the airport's terminals, causing a fire. The Houthis claimed that their attacks on this airport were conducted in three phases, starting on the evening of Friday and leading to the complete shutdown of the airport.

The increase in these attacks and the resulting human casualties clearly indicate that the security situation in Saudi Arabia is extremely critical. This crisis not only affects the daily lives of the people but could also have widespread political and economic repercussions for the country.
