Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, has recently announced that it will gradually limit its services for users in four countries: France, Spain, Italy, and Poland. This action coincides with the end of the transitional period for the "Markets in Crypto-Assets" (MiCA) regulations in the European Union, and it seems that the company is seeking to comply with the new laws.
Service Suspension and New Restrictions
Users in these four countries have recently received notifications regarding service changes. According to these notifications, deposits to accounts subject to these restrictions have already been halted, but withdrawals of cryptocurrency and fiat currencies will still be possible. Binance has emphasized that users' assets remain safe and accessible, and there will be no sudden blocking of assets.

New Fees Starting November 29
Additionally, Binance has informed some users that starting November 29, it will charge a monthly fee for the cryptocurrencies in their accounts. This fee will be equivalent to 0.025% of the cryptocurrency balance in the account or 10 USDC. The first fee withdrawal will occur within three days after November 29, and the second withdrawal will take place after December 24.
Challenges and the Future of Binance
Binance has yet to obtain a license under the "Markets in Crypto-Assets" regulations. The license that Binance France received in May 2022 expired in July after the transitional period ended. The company also announced last June that it had withdrawn its application for a license in Greece and is seeking a license in another EU member state. These developments indicate that Binance is facing new challenges in complying with regulations, and the future of this exchange in European markets remains uncertain.
Moreover, recent price developments in the cryptocurrency market have raised further concerns. These changes could influence the decision-making of users and investors, ultimately leading to more changes in market behavior.
