Baghaei, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, addressed the current state of Iran's diplomacy and its challenges against the United States in his recent press conference. He emphasized that the U.S. has only beaten the drums of war over the past two years and has prevented any progress in negotiations, stating that this reality is no longer hidden from anyone.
Diplomacy in the Shadow of Tensions
Baghaei explained that Iran's seven-day initiative was the last effort to return to diplomacy and was discussed in detail during the visit of the Iranian delegation to New York. According to him, the views of the opposing side were received through intermediaries, and various considerations were exchanged between the two parties.

He continued, "Our proposal regarding this diplomatic process still stands." These statements reflect Iran's willingness to continue talks and improve diplomatic relations, but Baghaei clearly stated that "the ball is in America's court" and that the country must take action for progress in negotiations.
Clear Demands of Iran
Baghaei emphasized the necessity of respecting Iran's demands and stated that these requests are completely logical and reasonable. He clarified that no final agreement can begin, and the Strait of Hormuz cannot be reopened or secured unless the U.S. maritime blockade ends and Iran's legitimate demands are operationalized.
The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that the opposing side would pay attention to these demands so that a comprehensive and sustainable agreement could be reached. He also pointed out that any new action must be taken with a constructive and fair approach.
These statements come at a time when tensions between Iran and the U.S. continue, and diplomatic efforts to reduce these tensions face serious challenges. Baghaei, looking positively to the future, emphasized that diplomacy can yield results if there is political will from both sides.
