Abbas Araqchi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is in a critical regional situation, and Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, recently spoke in support of him. Boroujerdi criticized the impeachment plan against Araqchi, highlighting his key role in Iran's diplomacy during this sensitive period.

Foreign Minister on the Front Lines

Boroujerdi stated that the Foreign Minister is not the main decision-maker in major issues, noting: "Mr. Araqchi is not the decision-maker, and the Supreme National Security Council, which includes all the leaders of the system, makes major decisions. He is fighting on the front lines against the enemy and is implementing decisions." This parliament member referred to Araqchi's activities during his trip to the United Nations, mentioning that he met with about 50 foreign ministers and defended the positions of the Islamic Republic.

The Necessity of Unity Against Enemies

Boroujerdi also emphasized the necessity of internal unity and cohesion, stating: "We are facing multiple plots from the enemy, and we have accurate information that the Israelis and Americans are planning to create chaos in some of our sensitive provinces." He added: "Revolutionary action means defending all the levers of power of the system, both military and political, against the enemy."

This member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission referred to the history of Islam and its experiences in dealing with division and disputes, declaring that preserving the dignity of personalities and sacred places is essential. Boroujerdi urged the youth to pay attention to the views of the Supreme Leader and to act carefully on his statements.

Nuclear Negotiations and the Positions of the Islamic Republic

Boroujerdi further mentioned the latest developments in the negotiations between Iran and the United States and Qatar's role as a mediator, stating: "We remain steadfast on our seven conditions, and the Americans must accept these conditions." He emphasized that enrichment is a red line for the Islamic Republic of Iran, and nuclear knowledge must be preserved. According to him, "The Islamic Republic of Iran, alongside its international commitments, has a very important backing in the form of the fatwa of our martyred Imam regarding the prohibition of building nuclear weapons."

In conclusion, Boroujerdi stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran will adhere to its principles despite external pressures and will strongly reject any accusations from enemies.
