Mike Waltz, the ambassador of the terrorist U.S. government to the United Nations, recently addressed the situation of the war and negotiations with Iran. He emphasized that the passage of time in the conflict with Iran is in favor of the United States, stating that there is no specific timeline for the end of the war.

U.S. Ambassador's Claim about the War with Iran

Waltz, in an interview with CNN, without mentioning the rise in global oil prices and its impact on the energy market in the U.S., said: "I think with the President's strategy and economic pressure operations, the passage of time is in favor of the United States." These remarks come at a time when developments in the Persian Gulf and the political atmosphere in Iran clearly indicate that the Islamic Republic of Iran has changed its strategy in the areas of war, negotiations, and countering economic sanctions following the violation of the Islamabad agreement by the U.S.

Iran's Strategy Shift and Negotiation Conditions

Mohsen Rezaei, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, has stated that Iran's new strategy in the Strait of Hormuz includes considering broader boundaries for confronting violator ships in the Persian Gulf. Iranian officials continuously emphasize that the opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the commencement of negotiations are contingent upon the fulfillment of Iran's conditions by the U.S. and the practical implementation of commitments.

The conditions that Iran has set for entering negotiations include the release of Iran's frozen assets, cessation of U.S. attacks, ending the maritime blockade, and stopping U.S. interference in Iran's internal affairs. These conditions reflect Iran's determination and will to pursue its rights in the international arena.

As Waltz's remarks are interpreted as a new diversion by U.S. officials, the Islamic Republic of Iran is seeking to strengthen its position against external pressures. Iranian officials believe that a change in the U.S. approach, especially in the economic sphere, could have profound effects on the negotiation process and the relations between the two countries.

These developments occur while many analysts believe that continued economic and political pressures on Iran cannot be sustainably effective and that ultimately, there will be a need for serious and practical negotiations.
